Cisco Global Supplier Management (GSM) is seeking a motivated Supplier Commodity Manager for Memory and Flash technologies. You will be part of a highly impactful and dynamic organization collaborating with cross‑functional teams and suppliers. Responsible and accountable for the Commodity Strategy for Memory, Flash, and related storage technologies and for enabling that strategy across the supply base Responsible and accountable for all aspects of supplier relationship management—including technical, commercial, delivery, and quality—while working across partner supply‑ chain organizations such as Technology & Quality, Manufacturing, and Product Operations Working closely with Global Planning and Fulfillment teams to track inventory, CT2R, and ensure continuity of supply across Memory and Flash components; this includes lead‑time management, Strategic Inventory Planning, sophisticated purchase proposals, and similar activities Managing quarterly negotiations of component cost and lead‑times for Memory and Flash suppliers Performance Management: Executive escalations/resolution, scorecards, and business reviews on Cost, Quality, Delivery, Technology, and Partnership Proactively using data to assess issues, perform risk assessment, collaborate cross‑functionally to develop mitigation proposals, and drive implementation to completion Identifying, tracking, and collaborating on Market Indicators relevant to the Memory and Flash industry, anticipating technology and market transitions Negotiating and driving all aspects/terms of legal settlements/agreements such as MPAs, MOUs, Capacity Agreements, VMI agreements, and others Influencing suppliers to invest in capabilities and technologies that meet Cisco’s future Memory and Flash requirements

Requirements

  • 7+ years of sourcing, supply chain experience mgnt , memory sales.
  • Analytical skills to build out cost models, forecasts etc.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, operations, finance, and legal team to drive alignment.
  • Ability to build and execute sourcing strategy.
  • Technical & commercial understanding of manufacturing processes of systems and component.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in network / server industry.
  • Proficiency in leveraging AI tools to enhance productivity, decision-making, and business outcomes.
  • Excellent skills in supplier management and contract review/management.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible and accountable for the Commodity Strategy for Memory, Flash, and related storage technologies and for enabling that strategy across the supply base
  • Responsible and accountable for all aspects of supplier relationship management—including technical, commercial, delivery, and quality—while working across partner supply‑ chain organizations such as Technology & Quality, Manufacturing, and Product Operations

  • Influencing suppliers to invest in capabilities and technologies that meet Cisco’s future Memory and Flash requirements

  • Additional paid time away may be requested to deal with critical or emergency issues for family members
  • Optional 10 paid days per full calendar year to volunteer
