About The Position
The Security Specialist will serve a full range of security functions, including security postures, information, personnel, documents, operations, and physical security. The role involves conducting evaluations in the areas of information, physical, and personnel security, and providing training in all aspects of security for managers and employees assigned to the organization. The Security Specialist will act as the principal action officer for the administration of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) for the Brigade and will serve as the TOP SECRET Control Officer for the Brigade. Additionally, the position is responsible for the overall administration and control of the Brigade's Personnel Security Program, including all actions pertaining to security clearances in accordance with DoD and Army Regulations. The Security Specialist will also serve as the Special Security Officer (SSO) for the Brigade, overseeing Special Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) and Tactical Sensitive Compartmented Information (T-SCIF) operations.
