About The Position

The position is for a GS-15 level role within the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) focused on critical infrastructure protection. The selected candidate will represent CISA as a subject matter expert at various events and will lead and supervise Protective Security Advisors (PSAs). Responsibilities include conducting complex security assessments, coordinating with other agencies, and participating in incident response operations. The role requires a high level of expertise in security matters and the ability to manage a team effectively.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance suitable for Federal employment.
  • Current Federal employees must meet time-in-grade requirements.
  • One-year probationary period may be required.
  • Must live within 50 miles of duty location.
  • Must have a valid State Driver's License.
  • Position may be designated as essential personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Represents CISA as a subject matter expert on critical infrastructure protection at conferences, workshops, panels, and studies.
  • Functions as the strategic, operational, and tactical authority on critical infrastructure protection.
  • Leads and supervises Protective Security Advisors (PSAs) and serves as an expert advisor to governments and private officials.
  • Plans, coordinates, and conducts complex physical, natural, and cyber security assessment activities.
  • Leads complex assessments, identifies dependencies, interdependencies, and vulnerabilities.
  • Coordinates with other supervisory colleagues to synchronize goals and establish professional development paths for subordinates.
  • Participates in Joint Terrorism Task Forces and other working groups to provide security technical assistance.
  • Deploys to Emergency Operations Centers to lead critical infrastructure response and recovery efforts.
