About The Position

The Supervisory Security Specialist (Law Enforcement) serves as the Deputy of the Security Forces Squadron (SFS) and acts as a senior civilian advisor. This role involves sharing full responsibility with the Commander for managing all activities of the SFS, overseeing the planning, direction, and execution of high visibility SFS programs. The position requires a strong understanding of law enforcement and physical security concepts, as well as the ability to manage personnel and resources effectively.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance.
• At least one year of specialized experience at the GS-11 level or equivalent in other pay systems.
• Expert knowledge of law enforcement and physical security concepts, principles, practices, and procedures.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the missions, roles, functions, and operations of the DoD and AF.
• Skill in applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to conduct surveys/studies and evaluate results.

Nice To Haves

• A bachelor's and/or master's degree is highly desirable.
• Completion of grade-appropriate Civilian Developmental Education (e.g., Squadron Officer School, Air Command Staff College).

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and oversee the activities of the Security Forces Squadron.
• Exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
• Represent the Security Forces Squadron with various installation and functional area organizations.
• Make comprehensive assessments and evaluations of the unit's goals and objectives for long-range planning.
• Enhance the management support capabilities of the Security Forces Squadron.
