About The Position

The Supervisory Sales Clerk (Uniform) is responsible for directing, coordinating, and selling uniforms and accessories to authorized military personnel at the USMMC MiniMart in Kings Point, New York. This position involves supervising associates, ensuring customer service, managing inventory, and maintaining stock records. Requirements

• 1 year of responsible experience in clerical office or retail sales store work.
• 1 year of progressively responsible experience in retail sales performing duties relevant to the position.
• Demonstrated ability to perform satisfactorily in the position.
• Potential to develop qualities of successful supervision.

Responsibilities

• Supervises associates engaged in customer assistance and selling uniforms and accessories.
• Assists in loading and unloading delivery trucks and verifies incoming deliveries.
• Operates materials handling equipment such as hand trucks and dollies.
• Stores merchandise in stock areas, price stamps, and stocks shelves.
• Operates a cash register and maintains current stock records.
• Establishes work schedules and determines priorities.
• Approves or disapproves leave and appraises performance of associates.
• Maintains unit merchandise controls and ensures stock assortment items are available.
• Reviews stock for obsolete, slow-moving, damaged, or shop-worn merchandise.
• Checks incoming shipments and signs receiving documents.
• Allocates sales space for merchandise based on customer needs and traffic patterns.
• Ensures rotation of stock to prevent spoilage and marks down prices of damaged stock.
• Reports quality deficiencies for merchandise to appropriate authorities.
• Responsible for guarding and safekeeping of funds and inventory.
• Carries out Equal Employment Opportunity policies and communicates support to subordinates.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
