About The Position

The Supervisory Quality role is based in St. Paul and involves assisting in the utilization of the Sibelco Quality system, ensuring products and services meet or exceed customer specifications, performing plant quality checks, and maintaining quality records. Key tasks also include conducting and documenting in-process cullet sampling, performing incoming and outgoing load inspections, and collaborating with maintenance personnel to optimize product quality. The individual is expected to adhere to all company operating procedures and safety policies, wear appropriate personal protective equipment, and be open to cross-training in other plant positions.

Requirements

  • Ability to assist in utilizing the Sibelco Quality system at Sibelco facility.
  • Ability to lead in ensuring that product and services meet or exceed customer specifications.
  • Ability to perform plant quality checks per SMI’s Quality Procedures.
  • Ability to update and maintain quality records on a computer.
  • Ability to perform and document in-process cullet sampling in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOP).
  • Ability to conduct and document incoming and outgoing load inspections.
  • Ability to work with the maintenance personnel to ensure equipment operates efficiently to optimize product quality.
  • Ability to wear appropriate site specific personal protective equipment (PPE), as required.
  • Ability to understand and adhere to all company operating procedures and company safety policies.
  • Ability to be cross-trained in other plant positions, as needed.
  • Ability to perform any other related duties, as assigned by their supervisor.
