About The Position
This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Professional Responsibility, Personnel Security Division located in Washington, DC. The Personnel Security Division is responsible for rendering determinations as to an employee's/applicant's suitability/fitness for employment and eligibility for access to classified information/eligibility to occupy a sensitive national security position. This includes conducting initial/periodic background investigations, granting and issuing security clearances, and developing national personnel security policies, standards, and guidelines. In this position, you will serve as the Assistant Director to the Director of the Personnel Security Division, exercising broad executive level management authority in directing, managing, and overseeing assigned national program areas.
