Drive sales and business development for OSS services, ensuring customer satisfaction and growth. Manage and develop a team of process safety engineers, fostering technical excellence and innovation in safety solutions.. You will report to the Senior Manager of Chemical Process Engineering and be located at Burr Ridge, IL. The position is hybrid; you will be onsite 2 days per week.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • 8+ years of experience in: engineering, technical sales, process safety, or operations management.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, including planning and execution of complex projects.
  • Working knowledge of process safety, hazard analysis methodologies, and relevant codes (NFPA, OSHA, etc.).
  • Proven ability to lead and develop multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial management.
  • Innovative mindset and ability to drive continuous improvement.

Nice To Haves

  • DHA Leader Certification preferred. Successful candidate will be expected to become a Certified DHA Leader (CDHA) within one year of hire date.

Responsibilities

  • Direct OSS group operations to achieve revenue and gross margin goals.
  • Develop and manage budgets, prioritize internal investments, and ensure financial targets are met.
  • Oversee forecasting and reporting for OSS services.
  • Serve as project manager for OSS product area, ensuring timely and effective execution of projects.
  • Define, develop, and implement goals and objectives for the OSS team.
  • Maintain oversight of operations; anticipate and resolve issues.
  • Manage current customer relationships to maximize sales growth and client satisfaction.
  • Develop new sales opportunities for OSS services, including consulting, testing, and equipment.
  • Issue quotations and proposals, and represent OSS at public events, conferences, and marketing activities.
  • Oversee delivery of process safety services (e.g., Dust Hazard Analysis, Process Hazard Analysis) across industries.
  • Promote innovation and continuous improvement in OSS methodologies.
  • Recruit, manage, and develop OSS engineers and staff.
  • Promote professional and technical development, ensuring talent utilization objectives are achieved.
  • Proactively seek and implement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction.
