About The Position

This position is a federal role located in Rosebud, SD, with an open period from 8/8/2024 to 8/7/2025. To qualify, candidates must demonstrate sufficient experience and/or education to perform the duties of the position. Experience can include both paid and unpaid work, including volunteer roles through National Service programs and other organizations. Candidates will receive credit for all qualifying experience, and it is essential to clearly identify the duties and responsibilities held in each position, along with the total hours worked per week. The position requires meeting specific basic and minimum qualifications based on the grade level applied for, ranging from GS-4 to GS-6.

Requirements

• For GS-4: Six months of general experience and six months of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-3 grade level, or two years above high school with related courses.
• For GS-5: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-4 grade level, or a four-year course of study above high school with related courses.
• For GS-6: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-5 grade level.
• Candidates must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.

Responsibilities

• Take and record vital signs.
• Schedule appointments.
• Maintain security and confidentiality of data and information.
• Administer screening assessments for preventative health.
• Distinguish between normal and abnormal findings of vital signs and point of care testing.
• Administer interventions as prescribed by the provider.
• Perform venipuncture and collect lab specimens.
• Label lab specimens and perform basic wound/skin care measures.
• Order and fit durable medical supplies to patient needs.
