About The Position

This position is located in Pine Ridge, SD, and is a federal job opportunity. To qualify, candidates must demonstrate sufficient experience and/or education to perform the duties of the specific position. Experience can include both paid and unpaid work, including volunteer work through National Service programs such as the Peace Corps and AmeriCorps. Candidates will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part-time work. It is essential to clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held, along with the total number of hours worked per week.

Requirements

• At least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-08 grade level in the Federal service.
• Current unrestricted Paramedic Certification or Licensure from any US State or Territory.
• Must meet all qualification requirements within eight months of the initial application date.

Responsibilities

• Supervise multiple employees and set priorities.
• Ensure policies and procedures are being followed.
• Provide life-saving medical treatment in emergency situations, including initial patient examination, prompt and efficient patient care, patient handling, and patient transport in accordance with protocols.
• Assist in evaluating the Emergency Medical Services department performance.
• Manage the department budget.
