About The Position

This position is a federal role located in Rosebud, SD, with an open period for applications from August 28, 2024, to June 13, 2025. To qualify, applicants must demonstrate sufficient experience and/or education to perform the duties of the position. Experience can include both paid and unpaid work, including volunteer work through National Service programs. All qualifying experience must be clearly identified in the resume, including duties, responsibilities, and total hours worked per week. The position requires adherence to Public Law 97-35, which mandates that individuals administering radiologic procedures meet specific credentialing standards. This includes completing an accredited educational program and obtaining certification as a radiographer. The minimum qualifications for the GS-10 level include one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-9 level, with specific examples of tasks outlined.

Requirements

• One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-9 grade level.
• Knowledge of Imaging/X-ray studies for physicians/providers, evidenced by a current unrestricted American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (AART) certification.
• Professional knowledge to effectively operate Computer Tomography (CT) equipment, evidenced by licensure or registration and certification in radiography.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day systems operations for centralized and peripheral equipment.
• Oversee the picture archiving system.
• Manage the Radiology package in RPMS and EHR.
• Prepare schedules for completion of work.
• Develop training and career development programs.
• Create policies and procedures.
• Assist with budget management and developing contracts and procurement.
• Maintain accurate and complete records ensuring imaging data entry is performed.
