About the position

The Supervisory Management and Program Analyst will serve as the Deputy Assistant Commander in the Personnel Information Management Department of Navy Personnel Command. This role involves providing personnel information policy and management, ensuring efficient use of personnel information systems, and overseeing various personnel records programs. The position requires participation in budgetary processes and technical supervision of department staff, with a focus on improving program effectiveness and resolving administrative issues.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Deputy Assistant Commander for the Personnel Information Management Department.
  • Provide personnel information policy and management as the principal advisor.
  • Ensure efficient and cost-effective utilization of personnel information systems.
  • Participate in the budgetary process, preparing and justifying budgetary needs.
  • Oversee the Electronic Military Personnel Records System (EMPRS) and Official Military Personnel Files (OMPF) records program.
  • Administer personnel forms processing and implement policy guidance for military FITREP/Evaluation and Counseling programs.
  • Provide technical and administrative supervision of department staff, including planning work and evaluating performance.
  • Participate in the development and management of the Annual Selection Board process.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
  • Must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
  • Must obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
  • Must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level.
