You will serve as a SUPERVISORY INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM MANAGER in the ADMINISTRATIVE DIVISION of MARINE CORPS AIR STATION MIRAMAR. This is a RE-ADVERTISEMENT of Announcement Number: ST-12621408-25-KMD. Applicants that have previously applied NEED to re-apply to this announcement.

  • Coordinate and develop communication upgrade plans, integrating MCAS Miramar ICG with various agencies such as the Department of Defense, Department of the Navy, Federal Aviation Administration, and several state and local entities.
  • Act as a liaison between MCAS Miramar and other governmental organizations, commercial entities, and academic centers, integrating services and technology across various sectors.
  • Oversee the performance and duties of approximately 32 Marine Corps and civilian personnel in the S-6 Department, handling all communications planning, prioritization, programming, resourcing, and direction.
  • Support the successful transition of new hires to the Federal workforce while adhering to Merit System Principles.
  • Uphold laws, regulations, and policies concerning Merit Systems Principles, equal employment opportunity, and prohibited personnel practices.
  • Direct and coordinate work, set priorities, and establish deadlines.
  • Responsible for Contractor Performance Oversight encompassing the effective management and direction of contractor personnel engaged in key projects.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level.
  • Must obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Top Secret SCI security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required.
  • Must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Experience in unified communications, integrating all forms of telecommunication capabilities, concepts, services and supporting functions.
  • Experience in training and education, air traffic control; electronic messaging and software support; cybersecurity and supply management; fiscal management; and customer service.
