About The Position

The Supervisory Industrial Security Specialist at DCSA is responsible for leading and managing field office operations within a designated Area of Responsibility (AOR). This role involves overseeing compliance with the National Industrial Security Program (NISP), managing security investigations, and ensuring the protection of classified information for Cleared Defense Contractors (CDC). The position requires strategic planning and execution of operational priorities to fulfill the mission of DCSA.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Specialized experience in managing the implementation of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP).
  • Experience in interpreting laws, regulations, and policies related to Industrial Security and compliance.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills to influence and motivate teams in various situations.
  • Ability to make sound, well-informed decisions considering national security implications.

Nice To Haves

  • Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (to be obtained within two years of entry on duty).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first-line supervisor for entry-level through Senior Industrial Security Specialists.
  • Interpret advanced principles and methodologies related to Industrial Security and NISP compliance.
  • Manage oversight elements of Industrial Security and risk mitigation strategies for classified information protection.
  • Direct actions related to security violation investigations and inquiries involving classified information.
  • Conduct security reviews and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend countermeasures.
  • Engage in strategic planning and execution of operational priorities to accomplish DCSA's mission.
  • Evaluate complex business structures for Facility Security Clearance (FCL) determinations and associated risks.
