You will also be responsible for defining short and long-range program plans, goals, and priorities, ensuring that the Federal Air Marshals and support staff are effectively trained, equipped, and deployed to meet the agency's mission. This position is part of the TSA Leadership Succession and Development Program, which emphasizes the importance of leadership in maintaining the security of the nation’s transportation systems. The role requires a commitment to mobility, as you may be subject to frequent changes in posts of duty and positions. Additionally, you will be expected to carry a firearm and maintain proficiency, as well as meet the medical standards of the Federal Air Marshal Medical Examination Program. The position is permanent, with an initial tour of duty typically lasting 36 months, and may be extended based on agency needs.
