This position is with the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), Directorate of Public Works. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
Serves as Facility Operations Specialist for the Directorate of Public Works.
Performs duties of the Acting Directorate of Public Works Chief as required.
Leads a disciplined and diverse team to carry out assigned tasks.
Coordinates with Facility staff across multiple geographical sites.
Generates drafts of comprehensive annual budgets.
Manages contracts and procurement for Public Works across the organization.
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
A background investigation and credit check are required.
This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG).
