About The Position

This position is located in the Regional Offices, Region Two, Recovery Division. The ideal candidate will have experience supervising a team engaging Federal, state, local, and/or tribal partners for the purposes of inter-agency recovery coordination on cross cutting topics to aid pre-recovery efforts and enable resilient recovery after a natural disaster.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen to apply for this position.
• Must successfully pass a background investigation.
• Selective Service registration required.
• Current federal employees must meet time-in-grade requirements.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government credit card.
• Must be able to deploy with little or no advance notice to anywhere in the United States and its territories for an extended period of time.
• One full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal government.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and/or provide expert technical advice and guidance to the agency concerning the National Disaster Recovery Framework.
• Developing and providing a flexible structure that enables disaster recovery managers to operate in a unified and collaborative manner.
• Articulating agency policies and explain technical aspects of agency programs to those affected.
• Confirming that materials presented are consistent with agency policy and meet the style requirements of the agency.
• Leading the coordination and development of disaster recovery training, exercises, and assistance.
