The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a first level supervisor to provide professional and scientific expertise in performance of work requiring knowledge and application of engineering, mathematics, statistical analysis, modeling/simulation, and/or other scientific principles, methods, and techniques.

  • Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the organization, ensuring that engineering work complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.
  • Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
  • Performs a broad range of Cryptography/Cyber engineering analyses and/or engineering assignments entailing unique problems, creativity, innovative use of techniques, advance approaches and or new technology.
  • Utilizes scientific inquiry in the independent development of policy, guidance, and integration initiatives to support assigned projects, studies, or problems while providing technical guidance, advisory support, lead and assistance on projects and/or major phases of broad and varied operations.
  • Represents Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division (CCSD) with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
  • U.S. Citizenship Required
  • All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period.
  • Position is designated special-sensitive and incumbent must be able to obtain/retain TOP SECRET security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
  • Must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Position is subject to random drug testing.
  • Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
  • Must have a bachelor's degree in a related discipline such as computer or electronics engineering, computer science, or mathematics.
  • A Masters degree in a technical related field is highly desirable.
  • This position is an Engineering, Level III position covered by the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP).
  • The incumbent must achieve the appropriate IA certification within six months of assignment of these duties.
  • A Masters degree in a technical related field is highly desirable.
