About The Position

The Supervisory Coordination Center Officer at the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) plays a critical role in safeguarding the American transportation infrastructure. This position is based at Yeager Airport (CRW) and involves overseeing security operations, establishing interagency relationships, and ensuring effective communication during incidents and emergencies. The officer will provide guidance to management, maintain situational awareness, and supervise a team to ensure the safety and security of transportation systems across the country.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship or U.S. National status.
  • Minimum age of 18 at the time of application.
  • Obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance.
  • Pass pre-employment drug screening and subject to random testing.
  • Selective Service registration required.
  • Experience in a supervisory role in a security or emergency response environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in monitoring security systems and incident response procedures.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and environmental safety regulations.
  • Effective communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support security functions and operations such as Visible Intermodal Prevention and Response (VIPR) and Screening Passengers by Observation Techniques (SPOT).
  • Establish and maintain working relations with TSA counterparts and other agencies.
  • Participate in interagency committees and meetings to exchange information.
  • Provide guidance to supervisory and management officials on significant information.
  • Ensure continuous situational awareness on airport events and emergencies.
  • Review incident reports for accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in preparing reports and briefings on significant security incidents.
  • Serve as a first line supervisor, assigning work and evaluating performance.
