About The Position

Requirements

• One year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the next lower level in the Federal service.
• Experience demonstrating management/leadership skills and technical competence in program objectives.
• Experience managing resources, mentoring team members, and providing day-to-day guidance.
• Knowledge of regulations and procedures relevant to the position.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work.
• Assign work to subordinates based on priorities and the capabilities of employees.
• Evaluate work performance of subordinates and recommend recognition or disciplinary actions.
• Provide advice, counsel, or instruction to employees on work and administrative matters.
• Interview candidates for positions and recommend appointments, promotions, or reassignments.
• Resolve complaints from employees and refer grievances as appropriate.
• Implement minor disciplinary measures and recommend actions for more serious cases.
• Identify developmental and training needs of employees and arrange for necessary training.
• Initiate improvements in production, work processes, and quality of work.
