About The Position

This position is a federal role that requires a comprehensive understanding of engineering principles and practices, particularly in civil and environmental health engineering. Candidates must demonstrate sufficient experience and/or education to perform the duties associated with the position. The role involves providing expert technical advice and guidance on operational issues related to community and individual water supply, wastewater, or solid waste facilities. Responsibilities include preparing design documents, construction drawings, technical specifications, and procurement documents, as well as reviewing engineering reports and cost estimates for funded projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program or equivalent education and experience.
• At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service.
• Possession of a Professional Engineering (PE) license issued by any U.S. State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in interdisciplinary positions related to engineering.
• Professional registration or licensure as an Engineer Intern (EI) or Engineer in Training (EIT).

Responsibilities
