This position requires a qualified candidate to demonstrate sufficient experience and/or education to perform the duties associated with the role. Experience can include both paid and unpaid work, including volunteer work through National Service programs and other organizations. Candidates must clearly identify their duties and responsibilities in each position held, along with the total number of hours worked per week. The basic requirements include a degree in engineering or a combination of education and experience that provides a thorough knowledge of the physical and mathematical sciences underlying engineering. Candidates must also meet minimum qualifications, including at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in the Federal service, performing tasks related to community and individual water supply, wastewater, or solid waste facilities.
