About The Position

This position is a federal role that requires a strong background in engineering, specifically in the preparation of design documents, construction drawings, technical specifications, and procurement documents for water supply, wastewater, or solid waste construction projects. Candidates must demonstrate sufficient experience and/or education to perform the duties of the position. The role is open for applications from December 23, 2024, to January 13, 2025.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program or equivalent education.
• Combination of education and experience in engineering sciences.
• Professional registration or licensure as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or Professional Engineer (PE).
• Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examination.
• At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in the Federal service.

Nice To Haves

• Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a relevant field.
• Three years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree.
• Experience in interdisciplinary engineering positions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design documents and construction drawings for engineering projects.
• Develop technical specifications and procurement documents.
• Work on water supply, wastewater, or solid waste construction projects.
