About The Position

This position requires a qualified candidate to demonstrate sufficient experience and/or education to perform the duties associated with the role. Candidates must provide a detailed resume that outlines their relevant experience, including both paid and unpaid work, such as volunteer work through National Service programs. The position is open for applications from April 8, 2025, to August 7, 2025.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program or equivalent education and experience.
  • Professional registration or licensure as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or Professional Engineer (PE).
  • At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in the Federal service.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of civil/environmental health and engineering principles and practices.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in interdisciplinary positions related to engineering.
  • Possession of a Professional Engineering (PE) license.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert technical advice and guidance to management and staff regarding operational issues of community and individual water supply, wastewater, or solid waste facilities.
  • Prepare design documents, construction drawings, technical specifications, and procurement documents.
  • Prepare and review engineering reports and cost estimates for funded projects.
