About The Position

This position is a federal role that requires a strong background in engineering, specifically in civil or environmental health engineering. The candidate must demonstrate sufficient experience and/or education to perform the duties associated with the position. This includes analyzing the condition of community and individual water supply, wastewater, or solid waste facilities, and preparing engineering reports and cost estimates. The role also involves the preparation of design documents, construction drawings, technical specifications, and procurement documents for relevant construction projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program or equivalent education and experience.
  • Professional registration or licensure as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or Professional Engineer (PE).
  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service.
  • Knowledge of civil/environmental health and engineering principles and practices.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in interdisciplinary engineering positions.
  • Possession of a Professional Engineering (PE) license.
