About The Position

This position is a federal role that requires a comprehensive understanding of engineering principles, particularly in civil and environmental health engineering. Candidates must demonstrate sufficient experience and/or education to perform the duties associated with the position. The role involves analyzing community and individual water supply, wastewater, or solid waste facilities, preparing engineering reports, cost estimates, and design documents for construction projects. The position is open for applications from April 8, 2025, to July 8, 2025.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program or equivalent education and experience.
  • Professional registration or licensure as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or Professional Engineer (PE).
  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service.
  • Knowledge of civil/environmental health and engineering principles.

Nice To Haves

  • Possession of a Professional Engineering (PE) license.
  • Experience in interdisciplinary engineering positions.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze the condition of community and individual water supply, wastewater, or solid waste facilities.
  • Prepare engineering reports and cost estimates.
  • Prepare design documents, construction drawings, technical specifications, and procurement documents for water supply, wastewater, or solid waste construction projects.
