About The Position

The position serves as a first level supervisor in the Special Missions Division (618 AOC/ALDS) at Scott AFB, IL. The incumbent is responsible for planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over nonsupervisory employees. This role includes managing Special Assignment Airlift Mission (SAAM) requests, interpreting airlift policy, and developing new mission planning processes. The supervisor also oversees budgetary control and integrates Special Access Programs (SAPs) to support national objectives.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship Required
• Males must be registered for Selective Service.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS)/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance.
• Must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing.
• One year of specialized experience at the GS-12 level or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of DOD, agency, and unit operations regarding air mobility practices.
• Experience in developing and maintaining training programs.
• Familiarity with international diplomatic clearance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the Special Missions Division, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
• Represents the Special Missions Division with various organizations.
• Serves as the functional logistics systems expert for transportation requirements.
• Develops complex detailed concepts of operations (CONOPS) and coordinates airlift and air refueling requirements.
• Performs special projects and maintains an ongoing training program.
