About The Position

The Supervisor position provides leadership to Regional Administrative Unit (RAU) staff. This role involves assisting with leading and administering all aspects of the RAU grant and program objectives, overseeing program personnel, and ensuring program compliance. Key responsibilities also include developing and fostering collaborative partnerships with stakeholders, participating in all required committees, conferences, meetings, and training relevant to the program and/or agency, and engaging in ongoing monitoring and continuous improvement activities. Program-specific duties include serving as an Interim Service Coordinator, actively participating in Child Find and public awareness activities, compiling and submitting reports within established timelines, and responding to inquiries in a timely manner.

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development or human services.
  • Experience working with families and children in a management or leadership position in the field of early childhood education, child development or human services.
  • Successfully clearing the background check process, which may include: criminal background check, education verification, references, drug testing, motor vehicle records, sex offender registry, Child Protective Services check, and federal grants debarred list.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Adhere to the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) Code of Ethics.
  • Adhere to the Division of Early Childhood Council for Exceptional Children Code of Ethics.
  • Maintain STARS career pathway enrollment.
  • Able to travel extensively; requires the need for flexible scheduling, including occasional evenings and weekends.
  • Business casual apparel.
  • Maintain ISC credential.

Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in Child Find and public awareness activities.
  • Compile and submit reports within established timelines.
  • Respond to any inquiries within a timely manner.
  • Traverse various terrain to access visitation sites.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
