About The Position

Riley Power group, LLC is a full-service maintenance and capital construction services company headquartered in Groton, CT . We work nationwide on some of the most challenging, exciting construction and maintenance projects in the industrial sector. We are currently hiring a skilled Foreman for multiple positions in the US. Essential Functions of this position may include but are not limited to: Ensure all Work is performed safely, is technically correct and in accordance with Contract and all Purchaser procedures and programs. Provide direct field supervision to crews. Perform Work in accordance with the Site Plan of the Day (POD) Ensure all Quality Control hold points are satisfied. Verify and approve all (100%) seat acceptance checks (blue, paper, etc.) Resolve production issues. Review and approve scope of work for each job to ensure work adequately repairs identified problem. Prior to installation, ensure all parts adhere to Purchaser's material control program and are traceable to procurement document. Ensure all ASME Section XI pressure retaining parts satisfy program requirements prior to installation by obtaining Section XI evaluations in accordance with Purchaser procedures. Obtain Purchaser approval prior to starting job if adequate parts are not available. Ensure Site Operations Department approval to start each Work Order after clearance is issued. Coordinate with support groups for scaffolding, insulation, clearances, etc. Identify areas where additional technical direction is required. Verify clearances are adequate prior to starting job. Identify potential parts problems to the Purchaser's Site Technical Representative. Interface with Purchaser's Site Technical Representative to ensure problems are properly identified and addressed in accordance with Purchaser procedures and policies. Ensure that all Work Order documentation is completed in a timely manner after work completion as specified by Purchaser. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and 2-5 years industrial valve repair experience, or an equivalent number of years of education and experience.
  • Familiar with tools and machinery required to perform daily valve repair duties.
  • Experience with repairing various valves and actuators, whether pneumatic, hydraulic or electric.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Successful candidate must possess the willingness and ability to complete and pass all pre-employment and employment screening requirements which may include but are not limited to: Practical skills, other medical, psychological (if required by site), background and substance abuse screening(s).
