About The Position

This position will be working in one of our retail stores located on Oahu. We're looking for a dependable, team-oriented leader who has a shared passion for Aloha! SUMMARY: Provides exemplary customer service, product knowledge, and sales support for fellow team members and customers that is consistent with the company’s standards and expectations. Strives to achieve the store and company’s goals/ objectives in service, branding, sales, productivity, and inventory management. As the Manager on Duty, this role will be the principal liaison between the customer and the store/ company during their scheduled shift and will be expected to lead the operational tasks and is responsible for the experiences during the shift.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent work experience in the service industry
  • Minimum 2 years prior experience in retail or hospitality industry
  • Minimum 3-5 years supervisory experience
  • Prior experience with computerized Point-of-Sale systems
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise good business judgement and dedication to excellence in customer service
  • Willingness to learn how to make decisions, show independent thought and planning
  • Desire to learn to lead and develop employees to meet and exceed performance standards and expectations
  • Professional oral and written English skills to be able to communicate effectively with customers and employees
  • Able to effectively use Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel at beginner to intermediate levels
  • Valid Food Handlers Card required at all times after completion of introductory period
  • Sit or stand and walk throughout the scheduled work shift
  • Twist body, bend, and reach above head
  • Lift and/or move up to 25 lbs
  • Stand on ladder up to 6 ft and reach shelving to place product

  • Actively engage with customers to assist with product selection by fostering a positive and world class shopping experience. Ensure employees have product knowledge and resources to be able to communicate features and risks as well as upsell when possible.
  • Demonstrates consistent adherence to opening, closing and safety/security procedures as documented in standard operating procedures as well as Department of Health and Food Safety guidelines when handling our products.
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency to meet and/or exceed sales targets.
  • Partner with Store Manager to ensure retention of high performing employees that meet company standards and guidelines by providing timely and factual feedback to managers and trainees as well as existing employees.
  • Coach and train store employees to meet company policies, standards and expectations and may work with Store Manager on corrective actions and performance evaluations.
  • Encourage employees to collaborate and communicate with each other and to leadership team. Support manager to escalate solutions, suggestions and improvements within team and to retail management. Actively participate in team meetings to develop self and team to meet and exceed service standards.
  • Support and perform duties related to inventory management to include but not limited to; receiving, transfers, pricing, product count, and physical inventory.
  • Partner with other company departments as needed:
  • With Visual Merchandising to implement and maintain store merchandising standards
  • With other HQ Administrative departments as required for effective store operation
  • Other duties as assigned.
