About The Position

Position Overview: The ultimate summer souvenir is working in the Retail Department at Typhoon Texas. The Retail Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of the Retail Department, ensuring both operational excellence and guest satisfaction. Retail Supervisors provide outstanding guest service in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while helping guests find the perfect Typhoon Texas souvenir. They ensure that retail merchandise is properly set up in the system and on the sales floor. They supervise team members as they greet and interact with guests at retail locations and locker stations, offering assistance as needed. Responsibilities include addressing guest concerns, managing team member schedules and breaks, stocking and restocking merchandise, maintaining product displays, overseeing the inventory processes, and ensuring the retail area remains clean, inviting, and well-organized.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • May be required to lift 20—50 lbs.
  • May be required to work in various weather conditions, such as direct sunlight, high temperatures, or rain.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with learning HRIS systems.
  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and perform responsibilities accurately with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of private company and employee information.
  • Must be able to multitask and remain flexible in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to communicate in a positive and professional manner and work well with others.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service and effectively resolve any guest concerns.
  • Ensure team members receive breaks in accordance with applicable labor laws, and that breaks are properly documented.
  • Drive sales initiatives by up-selling targeted products and acknowledging team member participation.
  • Monitor and receive retail inventory, setting up each item in the point-of-sale system (POS) with proper pricing and tagging before storing or placing it on the retail floor.
  • Follow and enforce the refund policy.
  • Ensure team members are greeting, interacting with, and assisting guests in the retail store.
  • Assist the Retail Coordinator with scheduling, including generating, reviewing, and publishing schedules in compliance with labor laws and budget guidelines.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and terminating team members as needed.
  • Train team members to perform tasks safely and in accordance with Typhoon Texas policies and departmental procedures.
  • Follow and enforce all Pyek Group and Typhoon Texas policies and procedures, including documenting and enforcing disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Oversee pre-season and mid-season training in collaboration with leadership to ensure all team members receive accurate, up-to-date information. Revise as necessary.
  • Provide timely feedback to management regarding team performance and potential issues.
  • Provide suggestions to the Retail Coordinator or management to improve operational efficiency, cost control, or guest satisfaction.
  • Oversee the retail inventory process and request product orders when stock is running low.
  • Operate the point-of-sale system and accurately process payments.
  • Maintain knowledge of products sold and any ongoing promotions.
  • Assist guests with locker inquiries, including purchases and troubleshooting stuck lockers.
  • Continually monitor the retail area for potential threats or theft. Report suspicious activity to the appropriate leadership or management as needed.
  • Ensure displays are well-stocked, restocked daily, properly set up, and visually appealing.
  • Assist with organizing inventory and putting away deliveries.
  • Ensure the sales floor, aisles, countertops, and displays are clean and organized.
  • Assist management in reviewing receipts, reports, and security footage when there are discrepancies over $5 in team member cash tills or in cases of suspected theft.
  • Maintain a professional, guest-centric presence that reflects dependability, efficiency, safety, and the spirit of Texas Friendliness.
  • Proactively identify operational and equipment issues and collaborate with leadership to resolve them when appropriate.
  • Embody Typhoon Texas’s moment making keys of intentionality, Texas-friendliness, safety, cleanliness, and fun throughout all departments.
  • Assist with other responsibilities, roles, departments, or park locations as assigned.
