About The Position

Position Overview: A Food and Beverage Supervisor oversees the daily operations of an assigned area within the Food and Beverage Department, such as The Patio kitchen or kiosk stands. This role supports the team by primarily overseeing multiple outlets for day-to-day stand operations, assisting cashiers, runners, and cooks as needed. Supervisors ensure their assigned location is prepared to open each day, maintain cleanliness standards with daily, weekly, and monthly cleanings, manage schedules, and troubleshoot equipment to support efficient operations. They train and develop team members to ensure compliance with Typhoon Texas procedures and all health department regulations. Food and Beverage Supervisors are guest-focused individuals who are committed to creating memorable experiences that keep guests coming back all summer long.

Requirements

  • Must have or obtain a valid Food Handler’s permit.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • May be required to lift 25–50 lbs.
  • May be required to work in various weather conditions, such as direct sunlight, high temperatures, or rain.
  • Must be able to multitask and remain flexible in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to communicate in a positive and professional manner and work well with others.

Responsibilities

  • Assign team members to their designated areas for each shift.
  • Ensure team members complete daily checklists and cleaning tasks.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and effectively resolve any guest concerns.
  • Collaborate with leads to ensure assigned areas operate hospitably, safely and efficiently.
  • Communicate guest or team member feedback in a timely and constructive manner.
  • Ensure team members receive breaks in accordance with applicable labor laws, and that breaks are documented properly.
  • Train team members to perform tasks safely and in accordance with Typhoon Texas policies and departmental procedures.
  • Ensure you and your team provides outstanding customer service.
  • Monitor guest wait times for food production estimations and communicate to upper leadership to adjust labor or operation to ensure the delivery of quick and high-quality product.
  • Monitor and organize products using FIFO (first in, first out) to ensure proper product rotation and ensure all assigned outlets are properly stocked.
  • Ensure products are put away in a timely and efficient manner, prioritizing temperature-sensitive products.
  • Ensure all revenue location requisition sheets are given to warehouse leadership.
  • Assist with safely transporting CO2, nitrogen, dry ice, and other fragile or volatile materials in accordance with Typhoon Texas procedures.
  • Assist with all aspects of the inventory process for Food & Beverage products that are completed on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Keep workstations, equipment, floors, windows, carts, coolers, freezers and any other supplies used clean, organized, and properly sanitized in compliance with health department and Typhoon Texas standards.
  • Complete daily and weekly restocking and cleaning tasks assigned by departmental leadership.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot equipment functionality and report issues promptly.
  • Assist the Food & Beverage Coordinator with scheduling, including generating, reviewing, and publishing schedules in compliance with labor laws and budget guidelines.
  • Follow and enforce all Pyek Group and Typhoon Texas policies and procedures, including documenting and enforcing disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Proactively identify operational and equipment issues, troubleshoot, and collaborate with leadership to resolve them when appropriate.
  • Maintain knowledge of POS systems, recipes, and relevant labor, health, and food service regulations.
  • Embody Typhoon Texas’s moment making keys of intentionality, Texas-friendliness, safety, cleanliness, and fun throughout all departments.
  • Assist with other responsibilities, roles, departments, or park locations as assigned.
