Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Knowledge of all ADS products.
  • Forklift & OTR vehicle driving skills.
  • Freight management.

  • Knowledge of local shipping regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • 3-5 years experience as an ADS Yard Loader.
  • Supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the work activities of all Yard personnel involved in the shipping, receiving and handling of product.
  • Provide leadership and direction in loading and unloading techniques, receiving procedures, yard organization, inventory handling and control, yard vehicle maintenance and the promotion of a safe working environment.
  • Practice proper PPE compliance and maintain a safe working record and environment.
  • Facilitate departmental communication and meetings.
  • Immediately communicate unsafe conditions, acts or injuries to Plant Manager.
  • Conduct cycle-counts.
  • Practice proper forklift and yard vehicle operation and preventive maintenance.
  • Ensure yard vehicle maintenance schedule compliance.
  • Coordinate DOT stock lots.
  • Maintain yard housekeeping, organization and layout.
  • Conduct Finished Goods quality inspections.
  • Manage product rotation.
  • Confirm customer orders (ASN).
  • Communicate with Freight Manager regarding relative issues.
  • Manage departmental training and certification programs.
  • Organize daily loading sequence.
  • Assure maximized payloads.
  • Administer department personnel.
  • Manage product conversions.
  • Maximize departmental labor efficiencies.
  • Minimize loading errors.
  • Manage CPU's and RMA's.
  • Minimize departmental overtime.
  • Understand and practice ADS CORE VALUES.
