About The Position

The Supervisor, Warranty position is responsible for developing appropriate business strategies aligned with KRC's Management Policy. The role involves managing employees effectively, selecting and developing their capabilities, planning for succession of key personnel, counseling employees, administering discipline, and handling human resource matters in accordance with company policy and procedures. The supervisor will establish work standards and schedules, assign work to employees, train them in work procedures, and review their work for adequacy. The position is directly responsible for site activities for a specific shift, coordinating daily work activities on rail cars delivered to customers, supervising clerical and technical personnel, controlling work hours to maintain the site budget, and ensuring a safe and orderly work environment. The supervisor will also prepare schedules for daily activities, audit and submit daily vouchers for personnel, and ensure compliance with safety procedures.

Requirements

  • Minimum one (1) year supervisory experience in warranty, production, quality, or engineering, or three (3) years mechanical/technical experience with some supervisory responsibilities.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with both English and Metric measurement systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in an active rail car environment.
  • Good computer and report generating skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Strong organization and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Professional interaction with customer representatives.
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders, and lift, push, or pull a maximum of 40 lbs.
  • Ability to deal with numerous and constantly changing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily work activities on rail cars delivered to customers.
  • Supervise clerical and technical personnel working on their shift.
  • Control work hours to maintain site budget and minimize overtime.
  • Maintain a safe and orderly work environment.
  • Prepare schedules for daily activities and coordinate completion with customers.
  • Audit and submit daily vouchers for personnel under supervision.
  • Ensure compliance with KRC and customer safety procedures.
  • Coordinate shift vendor activities to meet warranty obligations.

Benefits

  • Salary Range: $71,735.00 To $82,000.00 Annually
