About The Position

Ensure smooth and efficient operations of the shipping and loading departments. Responsible for coordinating the activities of employees engaged in product handling, shipping, storage and transportation.

Requirements

Proven Customer Service Skills
Ability to work under limited supervision
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Proven problem solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry
Works well in a team environment, with a diverse workforce
Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism
Ability to use and operate general office equipment
Strong math skills
High School Diploma or GED.
2 years of job related experience and/or training required.

Responsibilities

Oversee outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness and condition of products.
Monitor, direct and evaluate performance of Loading and Delivery personnel.
Determine work procedures and prepare work schedules to expedite workflow.
Determine shipping priority, work assignments and the appropriate shipping method to meet delivery commitments.
Negotiate freight rates and arrange transportation that optimizes service and cost.
Inspect loading operations to ensure compliance with all packaging and safety specifications.
Investigate and solve customer problems and issues.
Monitor and maintain all CDL or Intra State driver logs to ensure compliance.
Remain current on all CDL Driver qualification requirements, regulations and rules.
Oversee all delivery vehicle maintenance schedules.
