About The Position

Objective of the Position: Manage the overall activity of material flow, warehousing (internal and external), and shipping & receiving to ensure safe and efficient storage, retrieval and movement of all Eberspaecher products.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree Materials, Logistics or Warehousing/Distribution.
Minimum five years’ related experience in Materials Logistics or Warehouse/Distribution environment.
Minimum five years’ supervisory experience in manufacturing environment.
Forklift Certification required.
Ability to travel domestically by car or plane.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in SAP.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge in Microsoft Office.
Solid working knowledge of Materials and Logistics Functions within a manufacturing environment with abilities to manage space.
Strong experience in Lean concepts, cost savings initiatives and visual warehouse techniques
Ability to apply mathematical concepts and operations, including calculations, percentages, etc.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, and write simple correspondence.
Analytical- Synthesize complex or diverse information; Collects and researches data; Uses intuition and experience to complement data; Designs work flows and procedures.
Business Acumen- Understands business implications of decisions.
Knowledge of continuous improvement of products for manufacturability.
Knowledge of engineering fundaments, mechanical systems, automotive systems, and exhaust systems.
Knowledge of federal and state regulations.
Project Management- Develops project plans; Coordinates projects; Communicates changes and progress; Completes projects on time and budget; Manages project team activities.

Nice To Haves

Logistics, transportation and freight experience strongly preferred as well as having EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) with customers background.

Responsibilities

Ability to create weekly and monthly performance/statistical report(s) relating to departmental performance in areas critical to the overall success of the departmental measurable and requirements.
Manage all aspects of outside storage (trailers, warehouses, sub-contractors) to the same policies and procedures as the EETAM plant to ensure high inventory accuracy, service and performance.
Assist in the determination of an appropriate corrective action to eliminate future occurrences. Effective implementation of approved correction action(s).
Develop and enforce procedures to maintain high levels of housekeeping disciplines and 100% control of all inventory storage and movement within all warehouse and stock room locations.
Assists in the overall coordination and execution of the EETAM’s plants physical inventories.
Manage, train, and develop all subordinates with regards to their job functions and material flow processes in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Effectively manage packaging systems and strategy relating to Customer and Supplier returnables to ensure inventory accuracy, flow and cardboard reductions strategies to support production at all times.
Ensure compliance with all customer outbound communication and labeling conformance/requirements.
Ensure department compliance relating to all company and governmental safety standards.
Improve and Maintain systems to support accurate records of all shippers, freight, and delivery information and any other data relating to customer shipments/delivery.
Implement lean flow strategies within the manufacturing floor to implement a fork free environment.
Provide systems and procedures for the safe and efficient use of all departmental material handling equipment.
Supports and promotes ENA core values, Environmental, health and safety and quality policies.
Conduct all business related activities for, and on the behalf of, Eberspaecher within the limits of applicable local, state, and federal legal requirements.
Provide support to, and compliance with, all local and corporate Eberspaecher Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures and other HSE related requirements.
Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and follows all ENA polices related to TS16949 and ISO 14001; looks for way to improve and promote quality.
