Coordinate work schedules and performance management of shipping/receiving staff. Assure DOT, IATA, cGMP, ESHA and other applicable regulatory compliance for all warehouse operations and shipment of materials, products and samples. Establish shipping arrangements for products. Schedule bookings and coordinate preparation and execution of all shipments in order to meet necessary schedules, applicable regulations and specific customer requirements. Prepare shipping paperwork and transmittal of Certificates of Analysis and notification to specified customer contacts. Work closely with Curia Corporate Supply Chain management functional management to implement efficiency optimization programs and applicable Curia policy and procedures. Work closely with Quality Control to assure sampling and approval of incoming materials, labeling, sampling and final inspection of outgoing shipments. Work with Purchasing on schedule of incoming deliveries and supervise physical receipt of materials, electronic receipt in SAP, and internal distribution of received materials. Coordinate packaging and shipment of hazardous materials including samples and finished products. Specify, order, and maintain appropriate inventory of packaging materials and warehouse consumable supplies. Coordinate compliance site transportation security program including en route security measures as appropriate. Direct compliance with Curia policy and guidelines including Fire Precautions for Warehousing Responsible for Warehouse department budget and budget forecasting. Secondary responsibilities/accountabilities Manage site Pest Control Program Receive returned goods and initiate investigation process. Conduct DOT training for site employees as needed to assure compliance and continuous improvement activities. Conduct weekly satellite safety meetings for shipping/receiving department employees. Coordinate IBC and other reusable packaging inspections, testing and recordkeeping. Communicate on daily basis with the production supervisors and shipping and receiving personnel to support production and customer needs. Good Manufacturing Practices & Good Documentation Practices Understanding of US FDA regulations and cGMP. Ensure staff are knowledgeable in US FDA regulations & cGMP requirements to perform their job function. Perform all documentation in compliance with ALCOA and good documentation practices as defined by site SOP’s. Oversee and monitor performance of staff to ensure compliance with all cGMP SOP’s. Review cGMP related documentation to ensure Good Documentation Practices have been adhered to. Strict compliance with all cGMP documents SOP’s, Batch records, protocols, change controls, controlled forms, etc. Ensure all cGMP applicable training is kept current for yourself and subordinates Provide training and guidance to staff as needed on site SOP’s, Batch records, protocols, change controls, controlled forms, etc. Ensure staff have appropriate training documented prior to assigning work. Escalate any quality concerns and proposed compliant solutions to the Quality department. Perform job functions in compliance with applicable US FDA regulations and current Good Manufacturing Practices. KNOWLEDGE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS: The following knowledge and proficiency skills are required for this position to be acquired through a minimum of a high school education with a minimum of five years of experience in industrial operations including hazardous material shipping and receiving. Must have a demonstrated working knowledge of federal, corporate and local cGMP guidelines and DOT regulations. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with common computer software including Microsoft Word and Excel is required. Experience with SAP is desired.
