About The Position

This is an open position with FirstEnergy Service Company, a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. The Supervisor, Warehouse position will be based out of the Bethel, PA. Responsibilities Include: Demonstrating and directing a solid commitment to all aspects of safety Supporting the Leading with Safety program and complete Field Verification Checklists per established guidance Accountable for directing and coordinating warehousing and distribution activities within the assigned geographic region which includes 40+ service center locations and any job sites in the assigned territory Manage a multi-million dollar inventory and ensure proper picking, packing and delivery of materials to designated locations Drive an efficient and motivated workforce by providing effective coaching, feedback, and encouragement Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA rules and regulations to ensure compliance with all state laws Understanding of load securement to ensure loads are properly secured and road worthy Oversees fleet at Warehouse for federal inspections, scheduling preventative maintenance service, and coordinating road calls Schedule DOT physicals and provide HR with updated CDL license information Resolving material control system problems, interface with district stores and ensure warehouse activities are done per process Monitoring employees and enforcing conformance to established work practices, rules and procedures Implementing instructions and training of employees Coordinating work with other departments and sections Monitoring and documenting work habits of employees in adherence to labor agreements Overseeing all warehousing activities for a defined geographical area, including ensuring accurate, timely order completion, returns and inventory management May be required to manage a non-company warehouse if required for emergencies or other peaks Directing and overseeing material inspections, storage, cycle counting, issuing, picking/packing, inventory accuracy and general housekeeping Effectively communicate with customers, both internal and external, to ensure sound business relationships Evaluating and recommending solutions for excess inventory in an effort to reduce overall investment Providing regional material support during emergency/storm situations, along with supporting the company storm process which may require extended or irregular hours Set up and run a staging site to support emergency restoration which includes supporting internal and external resources and extended hours

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree. In lieu of a degree, High School Diploma (or GED) along with a minimum of 4 years professional work experience
  • Proficient computer skills and working knowledge of SAP, CREWS, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Desire to continue to learn and grow, work across FirstEnergy, deliver results and supervise others
  • Ability to comprehend the company's Accident Prevention Handbook and apply it to safety in the workplace
  • Ability to make timely decisions that utilize available material and resources in a cost effective manner
  • Demonstrate proficiency at planning and scheduling work
  • Ability to lead a team in order to achieve company business objectives and goals
  • Tracking and maintaining accurate and proper paperwork
  • Ability to work extra and irregular hours

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a leadership role or supervisory experience is a plus
  • Experience in warehousing and materials management is a plus
  • Knowledge of load securement and DOT regulations is a plus
  • Working knowledge of bargaining unit agreements and/or working with bargaining unit employees is preferred
  • Self starter who works well independently as well as in a team environment and can multi-task while prioritizing daily workload
