About The Position
Responsible for the warehouse supervisory function relating to the planning, storage, control, and distribution of materials and product to meet company objectives and customer requirements in a high volume multi-site environment This involves the responsibility of directing and administering shipping, receiving, inventory control by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Plans, organizes, coordinates and manages personnel and activities to ensure effective and efficient processing, shipping, storage, and issuance of materials while continuously striving for improvement in all materials processes. Maintains all inventories, components, finished goods to ensure accuracy of the inventory. Supervises physical inventory in multiple warehouses. Responsible for the logistics of transporting materials from various facilities and suppliers Responsible for the motivation and development of subordinates, their performance, and their personal and professional growth. Assures that established policy, rules, regulations and procedures are followed. Responsible for all processes, equipment, employees and safety. Responsible for maintaining a quality work environment including good housekeeping (i.e.5S). Interfaces with other divisions and operations to ensure timely and accurate receipt and issuance of all material. Coordinates the timely, accurate, damage-free shipments of all products. Operate a forklift. Recommends and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product. Responsible for development and adherence to the policies, procedures and instructions of the QS 9000 and MMOG systems. Responsible for ensuring budgetary goals are accomplished.
Requirements
- Must be able to read and understand English.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related discipline preferred.
- Five years’ experience in a multi-warehouse environment with warehousing experiencing in large warehouses (100,000 sf or larger)
- International import experience required.
- Experience with laying out warehouses for maximum efficiencies
- Experience in selecting appropriate storage solutions and material handling equipment.
- Must have Lean manufacturing experience to ensure efficient delivery of product to operations.
Nice To Haves
- Certifications in APIC's or Purchasing Management highly desirable.
