About The Position

JOB OVERVIEW: The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the management of warehouse employees, activities and systems related to the inventory of products and services. The incumbent will support and assist in the achievement of individual, team and departmental goals, and ensure that all inventories at the facility are properly accounted for by adhering to the company policy regarding inventory receipt, induction, valuation, adjustments, shipping and organization. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists in carrying out the goals and objectives of management. Adjusts to changes. Reports concerns to management. Provides regular reporting of performance within the warehouse. Provides training and mentoring for all Warehouse Operations team members in accordance with all SOP’s and safety guidelines. Ensures the various departments in the warehouse are staying productive at all times to meet daily performance metrics. Assigns picking tickets to staff to ensure production schedules are followed each day and based on priority. Provides regular inventory counts to ensure that inventory is accurate at all times. Works with General Manager or Inventory Manager to make necessary adjustments to inventory within the inventory system. Protects inventory at all times from paperwork mistakes, theft and other types of shrinkage concerns. Handles damaged and distressed inventory according to procedures in a timely fashion; expedites return of products to vendor for credit, deals with insured damaged product according to procedure. Controls inventory movement into and out of the warehouse by following proper procedures of accurately recording shipments and using proper system transactions, procedures and documentation. Accurately counts all incoming and outgoing products against packing slips and in-transit forms. Maintains a clean and organized warehouse with accessible items that are tagged and categorized for easy picking. Maintains equipment in the warehouse such as forklift, pallet wrapper, and other equipment. Maintains proper amount of supplies needed for the warehouse. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required, such as building maintenance.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as Warehouse Supervisor or similar role.
  • Experience in operating forklifts
  • Working knowledge of computer programs for entering data
  • Proficiency in inventory software, databases and systems
  • Solid understanding of health and safety regulations
  • Basic math and recording abilities
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Great communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy objects
  • General Inventory management principles and exceptional organizational skills
  • Excellent reading and writing skills are required
  • Must be familiar with warehouse operations
  • Must be able to read, write, speak English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma: Higher degree from a technical school will be appreciated.
