About The Position

We’re looking for a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead our trailer assembly operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role plays a critical part in keeping production moving safely, efficiently, and at a high level of quality — while building a strong, engaged team. If you enjoy leading from the floor, solving problems in real time, and developing people, this role is for you.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, industrial, or trailer production
  • OR
  • 3–5 years in a department lead role with proven leadership responsibilities
  • Experience with electro-mechanical assembly, production supervision, or final inspection
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and work instructions
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Working knowledge of Windows operating systems
  • Forklift certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Aerial lift and crane certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and crouch for extended periods
  • Regular lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Frequent use of hands and arms for tools and materials
  • Exposure to loud noise (hearing protection required)
  • Possible exposure to industrial chemicals such as hydraulic fluid, diesel fuel, and cleaning agents

  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and support a diverse team across all trailer assembly lines
  • Create a positive, productive, and safety-focused work environment
  • Train and onboard new employees so they feel confident and set up for success
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide ongoing feedback, and address performance concerns when needed
  • Encourage teamwork, open communication, and employee engagement
  • Monitor daily production and provide hands-on support to improve efficiency, quality, and safety
  • Identify process gaps and implement improvements to reduce waste and increase output
  • Troubleshoot assembly issues and resolve challenges in real time
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and outside vendors to ensure materials and production flow stay on track
  • Ensure all trailers meet quality standards and customer specifications
  • Conduct final inspections and address defects or rework issues
  • Enforce OSHA safety standards, company policies, and best practices
  • Promote a culture where safety and quality are non-negotiable
  • Review and schedule weekly production to meet deadlines and order requirements
  • Review, edit, and approve employee timecards accurately
  • Maintain production documentation, schematics, and work instructions
  • Operate forklifts, aerial lifts, and cranes as needed
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and audit-ready
  • Workforce planning, scheduling, and daily assignments
  • Coaching, recognition, corrective action, and performance management
  • Enforcing safety and quality standards
  • Resolving employee concerns and fostering strong team dynamics
