About The Position

We at VCA South Shore are looking for a Technician Assistant Supervisor to help lead and support our technician assistant team in delivering top-tier care at our 24-hour emergency and specialty hospital. We are a high-volume, 24-hour veterinary hospital providing emergency, specialty, and critical care services. Our technician assistants play a crucial role in supporting patient care, and we are looking for a strong, compassionate leader to help guide and grow this essential team.

Requirements

• Experience as a veterinary technician, technician assistant or in a similar animal care role
• Leadership or training experience preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, emergency environment
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide daily support, oversight, and mentorship to our technician assistant team
• Lead by example in patient handling, hospital cleanliness, and safety protocols
• Assist in scheduling, training, and onboarding of new team members
• Serve as a liaison between leadership, technicians, and assistants
• Help ensure hospital flow, patient comfort, and team efficiency
• Participate in hospital rounds and contribute to a positive team culture
