Requirements

  • Technical background, including but not limited to a solid understanding of Microsoft Windows Server, Hyper-V, IoT devices, containers, cloud platforms, and system architecture.
  • Experience in being Agile - effective to have used Jira and Confluence tools.
  • Ability to lead and collaborate with a diverse work group.
  • Ability to solicit and communicate business expectations and build strong client and stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to effectively self-direct, manage, and prioritize multiple projects/issues with a high degree of complexity.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, often changing, and sometimes ambiguous environment.
  • Interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to understand business requirements to translate into technical understanding.
  • Ability to help solve hardware, software, networks, and operating systems.
  • Ability to directly chip in to technical projects if the need emerges.
  • Inquisitive, dedicated to action, and a proactive individual, with a proven history of accomplishing tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Help in sustaining the ground-breaking technology infrastructure at McDonald's, ensuring timely updates to operating systems and adept management of device setup and support for servers and endpoints.
  • Understand the hardware landscape at McDonald's, the lifecycle for updates for windows OS, and effectively updating and maintaining our server and endpoint platforms.
  • Support global and US Technology teams by assisting with market technology initiatives and providing foundational expertise on relevant tools and platforms.
  • Work in collaboration with external development team to build out requirements for new projects/initiatives.
  • Work hand in hand with the Manager and Senior Platform Manager to navigate requests from internal partners and global partners.
  • Support multiple tech projects through design, initiation, execution, testing, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams throughout the project lifecycle to ensure alignment of Distributed team from development, deployment, and support.
  • Explore new technologies and contribute to developing product roadmaps to align with future business requirements.
  • Communicate opportunities to improve restaurant technology to internal McDonald's teams and stakeholders.
  • Support internal teams to advocate for innovation and modernize our restaurant technology portfolio.
  • Visit fast food establishments to capture feedback from crew, OTP's, and explore new strategies for improving the guest and crew experience through innovative technology.
  • Support and assist in daily meetings and technical projects.
  • Grasp the needs of McDonald's operations in order to supply high-quality results and adjust to emerging obstacles.
  • Demonstrate a leadership approach and the highest level of dedication to ensure projects are managed efficiently, on schedule, and on target.
  • Validate requirements and acceptance criteria to complete the development activities needed for deploying products and releases.
  • Document technical processes and contribute to information exchange within the team.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Digital Marketing, Menu, and Legal teams to meet business and market needs.
