About The Position

Responsible for activities relating to the storage, movement, and data entry of material, equipment, merchandise, and supplies in and out of warehouse facilities in accordance with established priorities and schedules. This job should only be utilized within the Regional Distribution Center. Selects, trains/orients, assigns department staff, evaluates performance, and initiates or makes recommendations for personnel actions. Adheres to Prisma Health policy in disciplining/terminating employees. Ensures the appropriate utilization of the Prisma Health progressive discipline policy for employees with performance, behavior, or attendance problems. Plans and manages the day-to-day operations, procedures and processes required to meet established goals and objectives. Interacts and communicates with co-workers and customers of the department for problem solving and achieving established goals and objectives. Demonstrates excellent rapport and the ability to encourage open communication with staff and resolve interdepartmental problems and conflicts. Responsible for meeting financial targets, FTE budgets and other assigned operational expectations for Material Services. Conducts staff meetings at least monthly providing updates and communication striving to maintain a high level of employee satisfaction. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Education - High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Post High School education of one year to 18 months in an accredited program preferred/
  • Experience - Three (3) years material / supply experience.
  • One (1) year healthcare materials experience.
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • In Lieu Of Five (5) years of materials/supply experience may be substituted for the experience requirement noted above.
  • Knowledge of office equipment (fax/copier)
  • Proficient computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, database)
  • Data entry skills
