About The Position

The S.P.D. Surgical Technologist Supervisor, reporting to the S.P.D. Manager, is responsible for supervising S.P.D. Technicians I and II and an Inventory Control Clerk. Key responsibilities include assisting with performance appraisals, evaluating employee performance, and providing timely feedback to ensure effective communication and understanding within the department. The Supervisor actively participates in continuous quality improvement programs, ensures the efficient and responsible use of equipment and resources, and delivers comprehensive training and orientation for assigned staff. Additionally, the role supports professional development through staff education initiatives and monitors work quality and quantity to promote overall departmental efficiency.

Requirements

• 3 years working in Sterile Processing or Surgery
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid certificate from Surgical Technologist program; CST

Responsibilities

• Assists in the preparation of performance appraisals, evaluates employee performance, and provides feedback to ensure effective communication and understanding within the department.
• Oversees S.P.D. Technicians I and II and an Inventory Control Clerk.
• Participates in continuous quality improvement programs.
• Utilizes equipment, supplies, and resources in a prudent and efficient manner.
• Provides quality training and orientation for assigned employees.
• Promotes personal performance development through participation in staff educational programs.
• Monitors work quality and quantity to support departmental efficiency.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Benefits

• $10,000 sign-on bonus with a two-year commitment, paid in two installments (50% at the end of the first year and 50% at the end of the second year)
