About The Position

The Ramp Services Staff & Attendance Supervisor oversees the management and coordination for both day of and future schedules and staffing for the Station. Additionally, this position ensures compliance with the Team Member Dependability program and issuance of discipline accordingly. Responsible for managing Overtime budget.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 1-3 years' airport experience
  • Strong management and leadership skills
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience leading and influencing a team
  • Conflict resolution and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work with all levels of leadership in a fast-paced goal driven environment
  • Strong technical skills with the ability to analyze large volumes of data
  • Ability to develop process and strategies to manage costs associated with absences
  • Outside of the box, solution-oriented thinker
  • Possesses a natural curiosity
  • Exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.
  • Domestic & International travel under 10% of time
  • Must be present at the worksite 100% of the time
  • Kronos administration knowledge and proficiency
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Familiarization with Unionized work groups

Responsibilities

  • Manage staffing needs according to the daily operation and assign Team Members to work areas to ensure adequate staffing throughout the operation.
  • Create the daily schedule and adjust daily work assignments as necessary due to callouts, vacation, VTO, or irregular operations.
  • Reduce liability for all areas of absence management to achieve shared business and operational goals.
  • Effectively manage open lines and VTO in accordance with the CBA.
  • Track and review all absences daily to determine level of disciplinary actions required.
  • Meet with employees and shop stewards to discuss attendance policies.
  • Work with the centralized Leave of Absence Team about leaves of absence and other issues.
  • Conduct Investigative Review Hearings for proposed separations and deliver discipline as necessary.
  • Manage attendance recognition programs.
  • Develop strong relationships with numerous work groups.
  • Work closely with union representatives.
  • Engage with Human Resource representatives and other key departments to ensure consistent interpretation of Federal and State labor laws, and application of company policy.
  • Work with Payroll and Scheduling departments to create processes for communicating employee absences and payroll concerns.
  • Provide analytical data on scheduling including trends and plans for improvement.
  • May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change when circumstances dictate (e.g., emergencies change in workload, rush jobs or technical developments).
