About The Position

The Supervisor of Spiritual Health Services is responsible for leading and supporting a wide range of professional spiritual care services aimed at addressing the spiritual, religious, and emotional needs of care recipients and caregivers across various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and community environments. This role ensures that spiritual health services are integrated into the overall ministry of the organization, fostering a culture of patient-focused care.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Theology, Divinity, Spirituality, Pastoral Ministry, or equivalent education from an accredited institution.
• Completion of coursework/training and 4 units accredited by ACPE or equivalent organizations.
• National Chaplain Certification within 3 years of hire.
• Maintain board certification by professional chaplain organizations upon hire.
• 3 years of experience in Professional Chaplaincy in a healthcare setting, including geriatric and palliative care experience.
• 2 years of progressive responsibility in leadership functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support professional spiritual care services for care recipients and caregivers.
• Ensure integration of spiritual health services into the overall ministry of the organization.
• Provide guidance and support to professional chaplain caregivers.
• Oversee the development and implementation of spiritual care programs.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to address the spiritual needs of patients and families.
