About The Position

Sentara is hiring a Specialty Pharmacy Clinical Programs Supervisor Location: Chesapeake, VA 23320 Status: Full Time (40 hrs/wk) Shift: M-F Days Ambulatory Clinical Support - Supervisor of Specialty Clinical Programs The Pharmacy Supervisor provides formal leadership to pharmacy team members. Responsible and accountable for the provision of safe, compliant, effective, and prompt pharmacy services. Participates in all necessary aspects of the medication-use system while providing comprehensive and individualized pharmaceutical care to the patients. Assumes leadership accountability for daily pharmacy operations, coordination of workflows, quality and service, human resource management, strategic planning, and medication management locally and within the system. Serves as a resource for staff, represents pharmacy leadership within the division, and implements and supports local and system initiatives. Assumes local and system leadership responsibility and accountability for all aspects of pharmacy operations. Leads and coordinates the development and maintenance of clinical and operational pharmacy processes and programs Develops, implements and evaluates pharmacy services, protocols, policies & procedures Models practice consistent with organizational goals, customer service, clinical effectiveness, and standards of care Successfully leads local and system implementation of various system initiatives Supports the training of new employees and participates in the creation and maintenance of training materials

Requirements

  • Bachelors Level Degree in Pharmacy (Required)
  • Virginia Pharmacist License (Required)
  • Minimum 3 years of Clinical or Ambulatory Pharmacy Experience (Required)
  • 1 year of Leadership Experience (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • Doctorate Level Degree in Pharmacy (Preferred)
  • Pharmacy Board Certification (Preferred)
  • Residency Trained (Preferred)
