About The Position

The Supervisor of Social Services at Bethany LTC is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the department, ensuring quality and compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulatory agencies. This role requires expert knowledge and clinical skills to effectively manage the social services team and facilitate conflict resolution among employees, physicians, patients, residents, families, and other healthcare team members. The supervisor will develop and adjust employee schedules, provide feedback on performance, assist in training new staff, and support the development of existing staff through mentoring and education. Additionally, the supervisor will oversee social work students and assist with discharge planning and social needs of patients. The position promotes equal access to services and requires knowledge of quality management methods to meet organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in social work from an accredited program required.
  • Master's degree in social work or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of two to five years of hospital or healthcare social work experience.
  • Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Must possess a license in good standing in state(s) of practice.

Responsibilities
