About The Position

This position is responsible for managing day-to-day operations and ensuring that quality patient care is provided across multiple sleep clinics and/or sleep labs throughout a designated geographic area. This includes developing, managing, and achieving budgetary and financial objectives, quality improvement initiatives, program service development, and personnel management for all assigned locations. The position works closely with providers and other members of multi-disciplinary teams to ensure the highest value sub-specialty care. Posting Specifics Benefits Eligible: Yes (Health, Vision, & Dental Insurance, 401(K), education assistance, + many more) Shift Details: Full-time, 40 hours/week, Days Shift- exempt position Department: Sleep Lab, Primary Children's SLC Campus Additional Details: Must be an RPSGT or RRT with sleep credentials and at least 2 years experience as an RPSGT. Essential Functions They will be responsible for administering technically accurate Polysomnographic studies, ensuring technical staff produces quality PSG recordings, responsible for the efficient everyday function of the sleep lab. Sleep technologist scheduling, coaching, and collecting/organizing other data pertinent to the interpretation of test results utilized by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders. Mentor entry level sleep techs and participate in the sleep technician training program as an instructor (A-STEP). Performing check-ins with direct reports, participate in sleep center improvement plans, assure testing centers are adhering to AASM accreditation standards and CMS guidelines. Troubleshoot and care for all testing equipment, and ensure supplies are ordered and adequately stocked. Works alongside manager and will assume manager duties when unavailable. Improve patient satisfaction, participate in or lead quality improvement projects, and other duties as assigned. Responsible to follow and implement department protocols, policies, and procedures. Ensure adequate training and annual competencies are completed. All other duties required of a registered sleep technologist. Department specific on call duties may be required. Current Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT), Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) designation, or Respiratory Therapist with Sleep Disorders Specialty (SDS) Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers Preferred Qualifications 1-2 years of leadership responsibilities College and/or continuing education preferred Dependable and organized Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to provide clear direction to staff regarding assignments, policies, deadlines, etc. Must display attributes of an effective supervisor. This includes ability to gain employees trust and cooperation and promote a climate of teamwork. Demonstrated skills needed to define, measure, and increase employee productivity Comprehensive knowledge of sleep acquisition hardware and software Knowledge of and experience with AASM accreditation standards and policies Certification in Clinical Sleep Health (CCSH) Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs. Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients/clients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately. Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc. May have the same physical requirements as those of clinical or patient care jobs, when the leader takes clinical shifts. For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles. Requirements
